V-Day is a global campaign to raise awareness and ultimately put an end to violence against women and girls. Each year our campus participates with a staged reading of monologues followed by a dance that represents One Billion Rising as people all over the world dance to the same song.
Each year we celebrate V-Day on campus and ask for donations at the door to support Hope House of South Central Wisconsin, the non-profit shelter for victims for domestic violence in our area.
We hope that you join us as WE RISE! Women are invited to participate as readers in Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" and men and women are invited to help out backstage and/or to join us in learning and performing the One Billion Rising dance.
If you are interested in reading, working in support or dancing - please contact Dr. Love, Associate Professor at UW Baraboo Sauk County know. She can be reached my phone at 608-355-5238 or email at lauren.love@uwc.edu
