Delia Maisells (Ho-Chunk) is an elder, art educator, and entrepreneur. She’ll share her knowledge of the various natural fiber materials used by the Ho-Chunk people. From cattail mats to basswood bark rope, to black ash baskets, she will show examples of Native fiber art, courtesy of the Little Eagle Arts Foundation’s art collection. Participants will learn about the various art forms and Delia will guide them through various weaving techniques used to create these functional and creative objects. This program is great for all ages. Meet at the Nature Center. Sponsored by the Little Eagle Arts Foundation.
