Due to the popularity and requests for another demonstration our next educational seminar will again have Nate Nye, Fisheries Biologist with the Wisconsin DNR, do a fish shocking demonstration. We will gather at the public boat landing located at the intersection of Hwy CS and County V. We will first gather at the landing and Nate will go over the equipment he will be using and describe how it works. We will then take a few minutes to spread out along Whalen’s Grade (Hwy V) and he will start shocking along the shoreline. We should have a very good perspective being a bit above the water line on the grade as the fish start to appear and Nate collects them. At the end, we will gather at the bridge along HWY V to discuss the results.
In case of heavy rain, a rain date of Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30PM is scheduled.
