This course is certified through the Safety and Woods Working (SAWW) training program and part of a four-level series designed to increase safety and efficiency of chainsaw use. The hands-on training and close supervision give participants the opportunity and confidence to fell at least one tree. Level II focuses on saw sharpening and maintenance, more advanced felling techniques, use of wedges, and felling accuracy. All participants will have the opportunity to fell one or more trees with supervision. You must complete level 1 to attend this class. Instructor Nathan Stanford has 18 years of chainsaw training experience. He serves as a certified trainer through SAWW and as a “C” certifier for the U.S. Forest Service. Class limit: 12
