Kirthi Premadasa was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University and worked as an academic for 13 years in Sri Lanka before migrating to the United States in 2007. He is currently an Assistant Professor of
Mathematics at UW-BSC.
