The Ochsner Park Zoo is located at the corner of Park Street and Zoo Lane in the City of Baraboo. The zoo first opened in 1926 with 2 bear cubs and now has over 15 different animal species. The zoo is a USDA licensed facility that acquires animals that have been born in captivity from Wisconsin zoos or from licensed dealers. (Due to regulations, we do not accept animals from the public.)
Animals currently at the zoo include...
Bobcat, Canada Lynx, Prairie Dogs, Capuchin Monkeys, Wolves, Llamas, Black Bear, Nubian Goats, White-Tail Deer, various species of birds and other animals. New animals are added as needed. Future displays are being planned for the American River Otter.
